#002 (SOLD)
#002 was built with a rougher, more rugged look. The body was beaten up a bit more, then smoothed out and finished with several thin coats of wipe-on varnish. I was awake in the middle of the night trying to think of cool looking touches for my guitars when "screwdriver knobs" popped into my head. I woke up and found a beautiful addition to the Cruzcaster line.
This one has a Fender Blacktop humbucker in the neck but it was so strong that it overpowered the bridge pickup. I ended up finding a high output Fender Noiseless Stratocaster pickup. It came out with a nice fat bluesy sound from the neck with a nice "jangly" clean sound in the middle position and a screaming lead on the bridge.
