#008 $999.00 (SOLD)
Every Cruzcaster seems to bring out something new in the design department. I call this one the "Chevron Unleaded Cruzcaster". It's the first one with a coloured body. I was experimenting with a few different finishing techniques involving burning, brushing, sanding, staining and dying and came up with a pretty cool look. It is finished with a few thin coats of Nitro-cellulose finish.
The pick guard is a rusted out 1949 plate that I did some work on and then attached the date to the face of the guitar. My granddaughter bought some tags from old Chevron gas pumps and they are almost the same shape as a Telecaster cover plate, so it all fell together.
It has US Fender Telecaster pickups and sounds great. The frets have been levelled, crowned and polished (like all Cruzcasters) so it also plays great.
