#012 (SOLD)
The “FBI Cruzcaster” (#012) has arrived on the scene. There must be some “gun nuts” and lawmen still around. Maybe south of the border?
This is the first Cruzcaster to use a stained and lacquered Sycamore body. Along with a finely worked neck I found a reproduction FBI plate for the pick guard and decided to set it on at an angle. It was a bit of a concern trying to empty live 12 gauge shotgun shells and then fire off the primer but it had to be done for the volume and tone knobs. A .44 shell casing for the toggle switch finished things off.
I have grown to like the GFS Bigmouth Humbucker, so I put one in the neck position with a Seymour Duncan Hot Lead in the bridge. It has a great range of sounds and is a treat to play.
