#000 (013) (SOLD)
The “Rustcaster” by Cruzcaster. This will be registered as #000 since some people don’t like the number 13.
The Rustcaster idea came after talking to a creative friend who had found an interesting product. It’s a system that puts real iron oxide in an emulsion over a special primer and then an accelerant to speed up the rust process. Enough talking about science. The body and the back of the headstock are now rusted metal and then lightly coated to seal it.
The neck is a beauty of a maple neck with a maple fretboard. A dream to play. Like all Cruzcasters (www.cruzcaster.com) the frets are levelled , crowned and polished. It has a Fender 3 brass saddle bridge, a bone nut and Wilkinson tuners.
This is the first time I have used Kent Armstrong Tele pickups and I must say that I am pleased with them. They have a nice warm sound in the neck, a smooth “jangle” in the middle and a pretty nice bite in the bridge.
