#015 (SOLD)
There is only One who is “Holy”, and this is the first Cruzcaster that is “hole-y”. It is the third in a series of “I love my husband” guitars. This one is for Ben in Campbell river. I let him choose from six bodies and he picked the one I knew he would, the one with the big hole in it. After cleaning, carving and smoothing the hole out, I beat and burnt the body for a serious rustic look, He even chose the three different knob combinations.
It might have a seriously rustic look but it has a seriously sweet sound thanks to the GFS Bigmouth in the neck position and the Seymour Duncan Hot Lead in the bridge. This is proving to be a popular combination. It gives a wide range of sounds from smooth creamy jazz/blues tones, through the clean “jangly” mid position sounds and ends up with that sharp biting Tele lead twang.
