I learned two thing while building #039 (Farmer) The first was that if you have a body with two huge knots it looks pretty nice, but I learned that you can never have too many big knots in a Cruzcaster, and that three huge knots looks even better. The second thing that I learned was that Alberta “farm” plates are thicker than any other license plate. Kevin from Brooks Alberta wanted a special plate for his Guitar and sent me this old farm plate. It was pretty beat up but a hammer and pliers got it re-purposed for his guitar. I left the front of the body with almost no darkening so I could showcase the lively colours in this beauty. Being that green is Kevin’s favourite colour, he chose some nice green screwdriver handles for the knobs. He wanted a very traditional Tele sound so we put the best pickup set for that, Seymour Duncan Vintage Broadcasters. It worked. It looks beautiful (to me) and sounds and plays great. (to everyone.
