#046 Jazzmaster    (Sold)

I’ve had a few inquiries about a Jazzmaster style guitar. There is a definite appeal to the offset body shape. When Kevin in northern Alberta contacted me with his ideas ,I thought it would finally be time to build one. It took a bit of back and forth to get everything worked out. I just looked at my e-mails with him and we are at about 40 now, but it’s ready to ship.
So, this has a Jazzmaster body which is like a Jagmaster in that it’s an offset shape. I put a full Strat
size headstock on it to balance the bigger body. Kevin wanted a Humbucker in the neck for that full, smooth sound and chose a P-Rail for the bridge. That’s the same one I used in the Baritone and give a lot of variety in sounds. You can chose the P90 coil or the Blade coil or mix the two of them and go in and out of phase. Kind of confusing?
Another cool thing about this guitar is the tremolo system. It’s and old school system that I had never used but I think I like the way it installs and works better than the Strat style. The body routing is so expansive in the Jazzmaster that his favourite Ontario license plate couldn’t cover it all so I did a bit of metal work to finish the job but was able to leave the crown icon showing in the middle.
