Mike from California wanted something that would represent his stomping grounds so we worked on a nice tilted Cali plate. He wanted a "rough cut" look with saw marks on the body. He was in luck as I had a couple of nice sawn oak bodies. He wanted the best clean Humbucker sound in the neck position. Well, in my opinion nothing can beat a Seth Lover Wide Range Humbucker that was in the 70's Telecaster customs. The problem is that they don't have the ability to make them now (weird but true), so I got the next best thing. Its is a Lollar Regal Wide Range Humbucker and it is pretty faithful to the original sound. It was a bit more money but when you want a particular sound that's how it goes. In the end it was a good choice.
