#063 Red (Sold)
Craig, who bought #004, called me and asked if he could hijack my assembly line because he needed something quick. It was Saturday night and he needed a red guitar for a gig the following weekend. Oh, and he also lived in Kamloops, not here in town.
So what did I say? Sure, no problem. Well I did have to hijack the “assembly line”. I had a neck finished and all the chrome parts with the relic work done. The control plate was mostly wired and ready to go. They were for a guitar that I had started but was waiting for pickups for.
I hardly ever work Sundays but after a good morning of waffles, worship, praying and all of the other good things I enjoy on a Sunday morning, I came home and started on the body. By Monday afternoon I had most of it assembled and did the final setup that evening. Tuesday at noon it was at the post office and Thursday Craig emailed me and said it had arrived.
The last one I posted was VERY blue and this one is VERY red. P90 in the neck and my go to SD Hot Lead in the bridge with 500k pots and a .022 capacitor to make it even brighter sounding. My first one with a "belly cut" on the back.
It was fun, now I have to re-do the parts for the other guitar. No worries, the pickups haven’t arrived.
Hey! What is that guitar sitting on?
